Smile for the camera....

A San Jose police officer entered a plea of not guilty Thursday to charges he encouraged a 16-year-old Scotts Valley girl to take dozens of nude pictures of herself and then turn them over to him. Kenneth Williams, 49, is a 20-year veteran of the San Jose Police Department. He is charged with four felony counts of using a minor for sex acts, one misdemeanor count of possessing child pornography and one misdemeanor count of destroying or concealing evidence. Williams was accompanied to Thursday's hearing by a group of friends and family members, including his wife. According to court documents, Scotts Valley detectives began investigating Williams on Dec. 12 after the girl's father complained of suspicious behavior involving Williams and his daughter. While Williams is charged with using a minor for a sex act, there is no evidence he had a physical relationship with the alleged victim. According to a newly released affidavit, Williams asked the girl to take nude pictures of herself at least four times and she then gave the camera or its memory card to Williams. "He encouraged her. She's a child. He's an adult and a police officer that encouraged her to take photographs and provide them to him," Santa Cruz County Deputy District Attorney Jeff Rossell said.

***Has anyone noticed that there is sooooo much of this crap going on, even though there are people getting BUSTED every stinking day????
