Potty Peeker foiled!
Knoxville Police charged a man with going into the women's locker room at a local gym, and staring at woman from underneath a bathroom stall.
Johnny Ray Wright, 30, is in the Knox County jail under $2,500 bond. Wright is on the Tennessee sex offender registry for a statutory rape conviction eight years ago.
Police say Wright went into the women's locker room at Court South's West Knoxville location, then went into a bathroom stall, got on the ground, and stared at woman in the adjacent stall from below.
"Fear. My first thing was fear," the woman, who did not want to be identified, told 10News. "I was just scared."
Fearing for her life, the woman screamed, scaring the suspect off. Court South employees had a copy of Wright's license, phone number and address. K.P.D. officers caught up with the man minutes later and arrested him on misdemeanor charges the woman plans to pursue as far as possible.
"I feel like I have to because of other people and because of my other granddaughters," she said. "I feel like he needs to be
prosecuted and I'm the only one who can do it."
One club owner said their lawyers are looking to see if they can refuse membership to convicted sex offenders, though no final decision has been made yet.
***Well if they can refuse memberships to offenders then there is going to be a big need for gyms that are offender friendly. Even pervs want to keep their figure!!
